The Lodge Design
The name says it all: compact, intentional, stripped of everything unnecessary. The cabins at Kilsti are characterised by generous glazing that faces directly onto the valley and mountain landscape, making the outside feel like it is almost inside. The private wood-fired sauna is a natural extension of the lodge’s philosophy: simple, well-executed, completely private. Guests fire the sauna themselves, at their own pace, and heat it to whatever temperature suits the evening. Getting There and Surroundings
Eidsdal is reached via the Ørnevegen road from Geiranger — one of Norway’s iconic scenic drives, with eleven hairpin bends descending from the Dalsnibba plateau. A short ferry crossing connects the valley to Linge across the Norddalsfjord. The area is within range of some of western Norway’s most rewarding hiking, and the remoteness is a feature rather than a bug for guests seeking genuine disconnection from everyday life.
