Hulder Badstu is in Lunde in Nome municipality in Telemark, run by Ruta Kjeldal AS. The sauna was previously listed here as Heksas Kjøkken and, for a period, as Hogga Badstulag. Both of those names have been retired — Hogga Badstulag is on hold, and the sauna now operates under the name Hulder Badstu.
Private rental
The sauna is rented out privately all year, winter included, at 600 to 1,200 NOK depending on the arrangement. Booking is by phone on 463 72 051.
Nordic spa and Lithuanian pirtis
Alongside plain sauna rental, Hulder Badstu offers Nordic spa and authentic Lithuanian pirtis. The owner is a trained sauna master (pirtis master) and takes individual sessions as well as couples and groups. Unlike a standard rental, the guest is looked after throughout the session and receives pirtis procedures: whisking — heat and massage with sauna whisks — along with salt or sugar scrubs and other natural body care.
Pirtis sessions are offered from early spring to late autumn. They pause over the winter, but the sauna is still available for private rental.
