The sauna offering in the area

In our own overview of saunas in Norway, one sauna is already registered in Steinkjer municipality. The offering in the municipality is therefore limited, but in Midt-Norge as a whole, 52 saunas are registered. The most common types in the area are mobile sauna and wood-fired sauna. The one sauna already registered in Steinkjer is Fyret Sauna. The association’s purpose is not to run a single sauna, but to promote sauna culture and ice bathing and contribute to the maintenance of bathing facilities.

What we do not know yet

The register information says nothing about when the association might open a sauna offering, where such an offering would be located, what it would cost, or how it would be organised in practice. It also does not appear whether the association has concrete plans to build or take over a facility. In other words, we know that the association has been founded and registered, but not whether or when it will realise a physical sauna offering.
