New sauna business in Ørsta: Fjordbu - Sauna Urke AS
Newly registered company for floating sauna rental
Fjordbu - Sauna Urke AS was registered in the Norwegian Register of Business Enterprises on 14 August 2025, with an address at Indre-Urke 46 in Norangsfjorden, Ørsta municipality. The company states its purpose as “rental of floating sauna”. It is a limited liability company (aksjeselskap), which means it is a separate legal entity with limited liability for its owners. The company is registered for VAT, but has no reported employees.
What the register says
According to the register, the company was founded on 23 June 2025, while registration took place on 14 August of the same year. It is not registered in the Voluntary Sector Register, and there is no report of bankruptcy or winding-up proceedings. The industry code is “Rental and leasing of other household goods and personal use items”, a category that covers rental of various types of equipment. The company has no registered website or other contact details in the register.
Sauna offerings in the area
In our own directory of saunas, there are currently no registered saunas in Norangsfjorden. The municipality of Ørsta has four saunas from before, and in Western Norway there are a total of 224. The most common types in the area are floating, wood-fired and outdoor saunas. Among the registered neighbours in our catalogue are Fjordbu Sauna Urke, Hustadnes Fjordhytter, Sagafjord Hotell Sauna and Sjøbris Sauna. The fact that a company for renting out a floating sauna is now being registered in Norangsfjorden may indicate increased activity, but no sauna offering has yet been registered at the location in our directory.
What we do not know yet
The register says nothing about when a potential sauna will open, where it will be located, what prices will apply, or how the offering will be organised. It is also not known whether the company plans to operate immediately, or whether this is only a formal registration. We have not been able to find further information about the business.
