New sauna business in Drangedal: Toke Brygge Badstulaug
New association registered in Drangedal
Toke Brygge Badstulaug has been registered in the Norwegian Register of Business Enterprises with organisation number 935457041. The association is based in Drangedal municipality, with the address c/o Lasse Robertsen, Jerpedalsveien 11. According to the register, the association was founded on 1 March 2024, but was not registered until 7 May 2025.
The association’s own stated purpose is clear: “The association shall, through voluntary, unpaid work, be responsible for the daily operation of a sauna built and owned by Drangedal municipality.” This is therefore not a commercial operator, but a group intended to run a municipal structure on a volunteer basis.
What the register says
The organisation form is “association/club/body”. This means the activity is run by members, typically through voluntary work and without a requirement for financial profit. The association is not registered in the Norwegian Register of Voluntary Organisations, nor is it VAT registered. No number of employees is stated, which is common for purely volunteer organisations. The industry code is “Activities of other membership organisations n.e.c.”
The fact that the founding date is 1 March 2024 and the registration date is 7 May 2025 means the association existed for some time before it was formally entered into the register. However, this says nothing about when a sauna might have been built or opened.
The sauna offering in the area
In our own overview of saunas in Norway, there are currently no registered saunas in Drangedal municipality. Nor is there any registered in the Drangedal postal area. In the Eastern Norway region, however, 174 saunas are registered in total. For Drangedal, this means the area so far has no registered sauna offering in our catalogue – which makes a potential municipal sauna a new addition to the overview.
What we do not know yet
The register information says nothing about when the sauna might open, where it will be located, what it will cost to use, or what offering it will have. We also do not know whether the sauna has already been built, or whether it is still at the planning stage. All that is clear is that an association has been registered to operate it.
