Kragerø Badstuforening operates a floating sauna at Gunnarsholmen, offering what they describe as Norway’s most spectacular sauna views. The non-profit association was established to provide quality year-round bathing experiences for everyone in the municipality.
The Experience
The floating badstue at Gunnarsholmen was designed, executed, and built entirely by local craftspeople, giving it a genuine community character. The facility includes a changing room, shower, and the sauna itself, with direct access to the sea for cooling dips between rounds.
Membership
Membership is required to use the floating sauna. The annual membership fee is 100 NOK and is automatically deducted from your first session or drop-in payment of the year.
